TEACHING EXPERIENCE -  THE UNIVERSITY OF ULSTER AT COLERAINE

At the University of Coleraine (1979-90), I specialized in my teaching in Social and Environmental Psychology, though with some input to Cognitive Psychology, Neuropsychology, Human Experimental Psychology, Abnormal Psychology and Introductory Psychology.

From my site in Coleraine I helped to start Psychology at a new site: the Magee campus of the University. I gained valuable experience of organizational change when the University of Coleraine expanded fourfold in 1984 (on merging with  the Ulster Polytechnic) and also during my work at the Institute for Health Studies. In particular, this involved an unusually large amount of administrative work such as planning new courses.

I supervised and examined a good number of doctoral research students.
