Teaching Experience - The University of Ulster at Coleraine
I left the National Health Service in 1994 and have since been in private
practice, being one of the first psychologists on the register of
chartered psychologists in 1988. Most of the people I have seen were not
self-funding. Victims of accidents often benefit from seeing a
helping professional, which will be paid for by the insurance company
liable. I have mainly worked with road traffic accidents, using a
cognitive-behavioural approach. My background in neuropsychology (strong for research but
also substantial applied experience) was particularly
useful here. I can administer many psychological tests. Some clients
included seekers of asylum in the UK. I have retired from applied work and from examining psychology.
